Our Story
Bar S Bar Knives grew from a lifetime spent outdoors and working with my hands.
I was raised in southeastern Louisiana, where hunting, fishing, trapping, and life in the woods were part of growing up. At nineteen, I became a game warden with Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries. After moving to Texas, I continued in rural law enforcement along the Trinity River and later operated a small ranch. The Bar S Bar cattle brand from those ranching years eventually became the name behind my knives.
Every knife is handcrafted one at a time in my Texas shop. My designs draw from the places, people, and experiences that shaped my life—from the swamps and pine country of Louisiana to the Trinity River and Fort Worth Stockyards. Each model has a story, but every knife is built with the same purpose: to be dependable, comfortable in the hand, and worthy of being passed down.
My son Travis, a United States Marine Corps veteran, continues that tradition through his leatherwork at Grizzly 2 Leather, crafting sheaths for many of my outdoor knives.
Bar S Bar Knives are made for people who value honest craftsmanship, time outdoors, good food, and tools built for a life well lived.
