WHAT MAKES A BAR S BAR KNIFE SPECIAL?
Growing up in the swamps of southern Louisiana, a sharp knife was a mainstay of daily life. I left Louisiana for the ranch lands of Texas, where the Bar S Bar cattle brand was born. As an avid outdoorsman for more than fifty years, a quality knife has always been a valued tool that I personally feel is a necessity. My life experiences and passion brought me to my next chapter in life as a knifemaker. I pride myself on making the highest quality tool that you will carry and use, a knife to be proud of, that you can pass along to the next generation of outdoorsman.
BAR S BAR: A LEGEND IS BORN.
Bar S Bar was born in 2016 when my son, Travis, signed us up for an outdoor survival class. In preparation for our adventure, I designed and made 2 very special knives, one for my son and one for myself.
A few months later Travis gifted me a sheath he had designed and made for our knives. Everyone who saw our knife/sheath combo said they also wanted one so Travis, a miltary veteran, created a custom leather business, Grizzly II. Grizzly II makes all of the custom, handcrafted sheaths for BAR S BAR KNIVES.
